I to be driving now and all of a suddenly my vtm-4 and also check engine light came on, and the suv started to bog and slow down. I couldnt go much faster than 10 miles and hour, it i will not ~ let me. Ns turned it off and back on and also was may be to journey a couple of feet and it did it again. Its prefer the vtm-4 is kicking in automatically. Ns gonna take it in tonight, but anyone know what the worry would be?

This occurred to mine. Wife never ever tightened gas cap enough. Brought about a check engine code 3 & 5 cylinder misfires. VTM-4 light was on because that a day or so, inspect engine light to be on for 3 days or so. All"s great now!:29:Apparently the misfires will reason the VTM-4 light and also as shortly as the engine starts come correct chin the VTM-4 light went out and eventually inspect engine light too. Not certain if you"re still about this forum but I am encountering a exact same problem. Go the seqeuence of occasions that happened to her wife"s vehicle were like:1. When turning the car, the Engine light would certainly flash for choose 3 -4 sec and also then remains on2. VTM-4 light come up in 5 sec and also stays on.I checked my car"s gas cap and also yes the rookie gas station male (NJ- they fill the gas) didn"t put the gas cap on (3 clicks) appropriately that ns did critical night yet still both the lights stays on.
IDK what happend to my upgrade but..It came to be the spool valve was clogged. Ns guess a spool valve controls the cylinder de activation when the pilot is in eco. Castle both had actually to be replaced. So much no problems with that. Ns asked the tech around this other concern i had. As soon as it is cold out and i start the automobile up in the am, it renders this terrible sound right after start up. He claimed the strength steering liquid was cold and it makes that noise when it sits. IDK..i never ever had any car do that ever. Anyone have actually that noise take place to them?

Same problem...3 times!This simply happened to mine 2005 Pilot for the 3rd time in less than 2 years. The very first time, the dealer changed some kind of throttle sensor at the request of the Honda engineers. It happened again about 9 months later. The second time i don"t mental what, if anything, they did to resolve it. The third time to be last mainly (7 months because previous occurrence). This time, the Honda engineers again called the dealer to change the throttle sensor thingy. Honda stated they redesigned the component since the critical time it to be replaced. Who made mention of a gas cap and also I simply realized the last 2 time this taken place were a day or therefore after i filled the tank at Costco. I always turn the cap till there room at least 3 clicks but I wonder if there is other wrong v the gas cap? can it be the simple?? all 3 time it taken place I had to gain towed come the dealer and the many recent time could have to be a very dangerous case as i was on the entrace ramp to a highway throughout rush hour. Seriously reasoning of trading for a different Pilot but my saleseman said it is a tough market for used Pilots best now.
